There are circumstances when partial or complete dentures are a patient’s best option. Partial dentures use your natural teeth as an anchor to secure the partial denture in place and can be made from different materials and replace many different missing teeth. Complete dentures replace all your teeth on the upper and/or lower arch.  Most complete dentures today use dental implants to hold them in place and make your complete dentures look natural and function without shifting or coming loose. 

A dental crown restores a tooth’s shape, size, and strength.  It fully encases the visible portion of your tooth and once bonded it cannot be removed, and acts just like your natural tooth.  It can be made from porcelain to replicate the look of your natural tooth, or gold to withstand hard chewing or grinding forces without chipping or breaking.  Dr. Martin uses a local lab to fabricate his crowns which enables him to provide his patients with the best treatment option available for crowns.

A root canal procedure saves a severely decayed, injured, or cracked tooth when the nerve of the tooth has become inflamed or infected.  Root canal treatment involves removal of the inflamed or infected nerve tissue that is shaped, cleaned, medicated, and sealed.  A new filling and crown are then placed to protect and strengthen the tooth.
